Richard Massie

Biography

Richard Masie, currently going online by the name Writing Stick Man, is an indie authour born in England, now living in the rural highlands of Scotland. Throughout his life he has always been obsessed with stories of different kinds, especially the fantastical and bizzare. He would create storybooks from his drawings constantly at a young age, a prelude to when he finally began writing, something he could never stop once he started.

He has read numerous different works, from ancient literature to popular modern books. He studied theology and has worked in tourist attractions and even a retirement village, which have all given him insights into different aspects of joy, suffering, aging and loss.

A big fan of Final Fantasy, Classic Doctor Who and numerous old TV series from the 60s, 70s and 80s. He also has a particular fondness for internet horror such as Vita Carnis, Fake Documentary Q or Gemini Home Entertainment.

With an interest in writing fantasy, he currently works on his epic fantasy saga, The Mushroom Knight.
